The Sunday of Forgiveness

Have you heard the saying ‘when you refuse to forgive someone, the only person you are hurting is yourself’? It is a phrase which bears many truths.

However, many people hold onto the past and, in particular, they hold grudges against those who have hurt them. Some people even find it hard to forgive themselves. They constantly think about the poor choices they made in the past, refuse to forgive themselves and struggle to move forward.

A lack of forgiveness has many consequences, in particular:
1: It stops you from moving forward with your life
2: It impedes you from forming a close relationship with God and receiving His spirit

On Sunday 27 August, we will be having the Sunday of Forgiveness for all of those finding it difficult to forgive. Whether grudges have been held for years or days, this Sunday you will have a chance to let them go and start over. No matter what someone has done to you or what decisions you have made in the past, God can completely cleanse you of your hurt feelings and help you let go of your grudges.

You will lay all of your burdens on God and leave with a new heart full of peacefulness and joy.
