How to Meditate on the Word of God

spiritual food,

bible

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” (Joshua 1:8)

God’s direction is precise. In the verse above, He did not say to read, but to meditate on the Book of the Law day and night. Day and night means as often as you can. It shouldn’t just be done sometimes or when one feels like it.

In the same way that we must eat every day to feed our body, we have to feed our spiritual lives. Bible meditation is the spiritual food that God has given us; the bread of life that we need to survive, to keep going until the end, and to finish our race.

Maybe you have always wondered how to meditate on the Bible practically.

You will find out this Wednesday at 7.30pm, so that you can know how to extract the most out of your personal meditation. Don’t forget to bring your own paper Bible with you.
