We challenge you to #Take 10!

Patient Care Group,

We challenge you to #Take 10!
Did you know that at least 10 minutes of daily exercise is very beneficial to you?

10 minutes may not seem like much, but many researchers over time have agreed that adding just 10 minutes of exercise a day to your routine can provide significant health benefits. Experts say exercise is more important as a person gets older because it can slow down the effects of aging. They say you should pick a type of exercise that best fits your schedule.

With this in mind, our Patient Care Group (PCG) has started a challenge to help people get into the habit of adding 10 minutes of daily exercise to their day-to-day.

It’s simple and easy to take part:

  1. Officially join the challenge by taking a selfie of yourself either during or after the physical activity and post it on your social media page (Facebook, Instagram or Twitter)
  2. Use the hashtags #Take10Challenge #PatientCareGroup #GetActiveJuly
  3. Don’t forget to tag us in the post! Why not also tag a friend too? Let’s get active together! You can find us on Instagram (@uckgoutreach). Facebook (uckgcommunityoutreach) or Twitter (@uckg_groups).

What do we count as an activity? Well, anything that gets your heart beating faster: walking, skipping, swimming, cycling, jogging, or an online exercise class which you can do in the comfort of your own home!

The PCG strongly recommends that you consult with your doctor before beginning any exercise program.

Our Patient Care Group is formed by volunteers who are always looking for ways to promote healthier lifestyle choices to help people live better, for longer, and here is just one of many activities to do just that.
