second step to be rich with God

Last Monday at our Financial Independence meeting, we revealed the 2nd step to be rich with God and achieve prosperity. In addition to taking care of your soul, those who want to be partners with the Most High must have a character like His: being righteous, just and honest.

Some people resort to “shortcuts” such as stealing or scams and sometimes it seems as if they are successful, but in the eyes of God, they are only cursing their own lives.

This sly attitude may even bring them good results for a short term, but they are losing with God. Not to mention that the money they conquer is cursed, as it is the fruit of injustice.

Note that this is not a punishment from God, but when someone chooses to do what is wrong, they are opening the doors of their lives to negativity. They win on one hand but lose on the other. They have money but don’t have peace.

Can someone rob God?

Unfortunately, most people act dishonestly towards Him.

Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me, even this whole nation.” (Malachi 3:8-9).

Furthermore, in the eyes of God to rob is not just to threaten someone for their possessions. From a biblical point of view, everything you do to have something that is not yours is a form of robbery. This includes stealing someone else’s time, killing time at work, lying to a client or robbing taxes, among other things.

We must decide who we will serve: the lord of this world (the lord of lies and injustice) or the Lord of the Bible. It’s no use being a tither but stealing from people in any way. Taking advantage of others is an abomination to God. On the other hand, those who are right, ethical and honest are His delight.

Dishonest scales are an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight.” (Proverbs 11:1).
