The danger of bad eyes and negative words

The world was created by the Word of God. He said: ‘Let there be light’ and light appeared. In the same way that there is power in the Word of God, there is also power in our words; therefore, we must be very careful with what comes out of our mouths.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” (Proverbs 18.21)

Every word you say is like a seed that you sow. If you sow a bad seed, you will reap bad fruits, and if you sow a good seed, you will reap good fruits.

When many people look at their lives, they do not understand why their family, their marriage, etc., is in that current state. They ask themselves, ‘Where did I go wrong?’

For example, there are mothers who have told their children, ‘When you grow up, you are going to suffer so that you will see the suffering you have caused me.’ And today, these children have grown up and are suffering. Their lives have been destroyed.

When you say a negative word, you do not see its effect straight away – the same way when you plant a seed, you do not reap the fruits immediately. But with time, they will become visible. When you sacrifice for something and you do not see results straight away, you should be careful with what you say. We must always confess victory even if our eyes do not see it.

It all starts in the mind. Before we allow words to come out of our mouth, we think about them in our mind. Therefore, we must be careful with our thoughts because evil can also speak in our mind. The evil one wants us to believe in his ideas, to accept his thoughts and confess them.

Often, when people are frustrated, they say things that they later regret. So, we must be very watchful when we are emotional; when something does not go to plan, be cautious of your words.

The light of the body is the eye. Therefore, if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is unclear, your whole body will be full of darkness. Therefore, if the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness! (Matthew 6.22,23)

As the Bible verse above says, “The light of the body is the eye.” If you look at people with bad eyes, then it will reflect with the words that come out of your mouth. Sometimes, you might not even speak, but through your eyes, you start to judge and have negative thoughts about that person. This problem becomes even worse when you confess those words.

It is your choice whether you see the good and bad; no one can make that decision for you. You must always watch your eyes, your thoughts and your tongue because your life depends on them.
