The Word of God,
On Saturday 12th February the Caleb group hosted a Games Day, that took place at our UCKG branches, where the group catered to the over 55’s bringing childhood fun to the present day with an afternoon of fun, games, food and drink. This was a great opportunity for bonding and socialising especially as many in this age group suffer from loneliness.
Activities on the day included: Connect 4, Dominos, Charades, Jenga, Sing along, Musical statues and more. The day culminated with the word of God, with a message of faith encouraging them to remain spiritually strong from within.
Pastor Michael who oversees the Caleb Group said, “It was great to see the attendees smiling, dancing, competing and generally enjoying themselves. There was a real sense of togetherness between the coordinators/volunteers and the attendees, and all were very excited about the effort that was put into the preparation for the day. There is great anticipation for the next Caleb activity.”

The Caleb group is a UCKG initiative for those over the age of 55. With weekly, monthly, and annual activities and events, it works to give back to those who may not have had access to the same privileges that we do, today.
