Heartbreak Estate

On Sunday, June 19th, the Universal Church’s youth group (Victory Youth Group) held a special performance called ‘Heartbreak Estate’ which highlighted how a young person can easily go down the path of gang life and the fatal consequences this can have.

This event took place in all of our Universal Churches nationwide, and was enjoyed by hundreds of young people who came for the first time!

The title of the play was called ‘Heartbreak Estate’ although it wasn’t about a physical estate, but more to do with a mental/emotional one that a young person can face in their day-to-day life. This drama showcased to the audience that young people are often looking for external sources to find happiness and joy, but real happiness can only be achieved when we’re at peace within ourselves.

In Finsbury Park there was an unbelievable turnout! Around 300 youths packed the Rainbow Theatre to watch the performance on the day.

One of the attendees at the Rainbow Theatre, Akeane Lawrence, said that he thinks the event was a real success “It was wonderful to see so many new faces enjoying the event”.

Through this performance, the VYG wants to warn youths that going down the wrong path can cause you to lose everything you hold dear in your life, including life itself.

The VYG has always been very active, throughout the years they have organised different events, campaigns and marches aimed to help young people stay on the right track.
