Over the weekend, our prayer group partnered with our Patient Care Group and held a prayer post called ‘Bearing the burden’ in which we invited people in the local community for prayer.
Yesterday, from 2pm and until 3.30pm in Finsbury Park, around two dozen volunteers took time out of their day to help others by offering them prayers. Being people of faith, we believe the power of prayer can help those facing difficulties.
Ms Theresa Egita-Erako, who was a volunteer on the day said the general feedback from people was one of gratitude “we set up a prayer station for people, and we received many, many prayer requests. People were happy that they had somewhere to come and seek prayer”.
Our Helpline receives many calls in which people just ask for a prayer, so we decided to be proactive and reach out to people.
There were 22 volunteers from our prayer group, and four from our Patient Care Group.
