Husband Asks People to Forgive His Wife: She Killed Their 3 Children

Husband askes people to forgive his wife
Patrick Clancy asked the public to forgive his wife who is accused of strangling to death the couple’s three young children: 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and just 8-month-old Callan.
His wife Lindsay Clancy, 32, was being treated for postpartum depression and then tried to kill herself by jumping out of a window.

“I want to ask all of you to find within yourselves Lindsay’s forgiveness, as I did. The real Lindsay was generously loving and caring for everyone – me, our children, family, friends and her patients. Her very soul fibers are loving. All I wish for her now is that she can somehow find peace”, asked Patrick, in a statement to people who were touched by the story and are trying to help him.

Even in the face of the sad situation of mourning in which he lives, Patrick finds the strength to talk about the love he felt for his children and his wife.

“My family was the best thing that ever happened to me. I was very proud to be Lindsay’s husband and father to Cora, Dawson and Callan. I always remembered that every day with them was a new gift,” he said.

The story of this family shows the value of forgiveness, which regardless of feelings is a conscious choice, which benefits the one who forgives much more, freeing him from heartache and hatred, which corrodes the soul.

“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.” (Mark 11:25-26)
