The Night of the Watchman

sealed with the Holy Spirit,

The Night of the Watchman
The Hebrew translation of the word “watchman” means “one who looks out,” “one who spies,” or “one who watches.” Sometimes watchmen were scouts who looked out for approaching friends as well as enemies.

Ancient Israelite cities often stationed watchmen on high walls or in watchtowers. Their job was to keep watch and warn the townspeople of impending threats.

Today God calls those who believe in Him to be watchmen:

“…then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be on his own head.” (Ezekiel 33:4)

As converts sealed with the Holy Spirit we share the same responsibilities as watchmen, to sound the trumpet of salvation. There are many ways to evangelise but the most effective one is through our character which is much more effective than the abundance of words.

Take this opportunity to not only be the watchman of your own soul but for someone else by inviting them to the Night of the Soul this Wednesday at your local Universal Church.

During this service, you will learn how to protect your soul and conqueror your salvation.
