What is the purpose of a test?

Christ, Christian, edir macedo, God, God has tested, God tested Abraham, Jesus, Lord, true Christian, what God wants,

What is the purpose of a test?

Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am”. (Genesis 22.1)

The word test in the dictionary is defined as: “the means by which the genuineness of anything is determined…” A sacrifice does just this, because it shows the truth between:

  • A true Christian and a religious person.
  • An obedient person and a rebellious person.
  • A defined person and an undefined person.
  • Those who honour God and those who dishonour Him.
  • Those who glorify God with their lives and those who accept to be just another person in the crowd.

God tested Abraham, and he was approved. There are many people that God has tested, but they have not been approved. They may even say they love and believe in God, but when He calls them to sacrifice, to trust Him, to forsake their own will and obey His Word, unfortunately, they flee.

They like to praise God with their mouths, they are overcome with emotion during worship, but “their stomachs are empty” and they’re suffering. Why is this? Because these people have not been approved with regards to faith. I would like for them to take a minute and think: What is a test? Why does a student take tests in schools? So that he can pass to the following grade.

When an employer wants to give his employee a higher position, he will surely test his employee first. If I give 100% of myself on the Altar, will God give me less than what I am offering Him?

God tested Abraham so that he could be the blessing himself. Now Abraham was old, well advanced in age; and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things. (Genesis 24.1)

This is exactly what God wants to do during this Israel Campaign of Israel. Give you something much bigger than you have now. But first, you will be tested! And, will you be approved or not?
