The Night Vigil of the Key

key news copy

When is the best time to pray? First thing in the morning, before you go to sleep at night, in the church service, are all perfect opportunities to disconnect from distractions and draw yourself closer to God.

However, the Bible shows us that there isn’t a particular time in the day that is better than the other, instead we are encouraged to pray at all times:

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

The Lord Jesus often separated time to pray when no one else was praying, at night. Even when He asked His disciples to stay awake with Him whilst he prayed, He often found them sleeping (Matthew 26:40-41).

At a time when most would be recharging their physical batteries with sleep, He would revive His Spirit by spending time with the Father.

By doing this, He demonstrated to us the importance of praying at unconventional hours of the day. This is the purpose of a night vigil in the church, to imitate the Lord Jesus and invest in our spiritual life at night.

On Friday 18th August at 10pm, The Night Vigil of the Key will be taking place in the Universal Church in Finsbury Park.

This is a meeting for all those who value their soul, our most prized possession, and desire to learn how to achieve their salvation. You will receive a powerful message about the Kingdom of Heaven and how to secure your place there.

And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in Heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in Heaven.” (Matthew 16:19 NKJV)
