The Lord’s Supper of Eternal Life
The Lord’s Supper is a special ceremony that was instituted by the Lord Jesus Himself. It refers to His sacrifice on the cross as a ransom for those who believe and obey Him.

The Lord’s Supper is not the kind of ceremony that can be celebrated in a frivolous way. Rather, it’s a solemn ceremony that demands from its participants a heart full of joy and happiness for the high privilege of sitting at the Lord’s table, eating His body and drinking His blood, all in remembrance of His life, death and resurrection.

“…He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” (1 Corinthians 11:24-25)

The Lord Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper for each of us to benefit from His sacrifice in this life (spiritual life, family, health, love life) and in the life to come (eternal life).
