The Liberty Event in Croydon!

On Saturday 17th June the Liberty Event arrived in Croydon! It was a huge success, receiving more than 100 people, including 3 councillors who were present on the day.

Many attended the church for the first time and it was an opportunity for them to learn more about the work of the Universal Church through the activities and free services offered.

The event consisted of stalls set up by the several community groups and they offered a wide range of support for the members of the public.

Contrastingly, the Patient Care group catered to the health and wellbeing of the attendees, with blood pressure checks as well as a fruit bar with a variety of fruit to choose from. They spoke about the ongoing Healthy Eating Month challenge that they are currently doing and encouraged everyone to join. You can also learn more about this challenge by following the updates online or by visiting your local Universal Church and speaking with the Patient Care coordinator.

The volunteers from the Children’s Biblical Centre (CBC) did face painting for all the children! Throughout the event, the Victory Youth Group (VYG) performed lively song performances to entertain and interact with the crowd and the Universal Teen Force (UTF) hosted fun games and activities.

Both the volunteers and the community had a great time. The coordinator of the event said, “It was a fun day for everyone and I was so happy to see how everything came together. I look forward to the next event!”
