“But Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have raised my hand to the Lord, God Most High, the Possessor of Heaven and Earth, that I will take nothing, from a thread to a sandal strap and that I will not take anything that is yours, lest you should say, ‘I have made Abram rich’” (Genesis 14:22-23 NKJV)
Satan knows that those who truly are of God, and fear God, will always reject his advances and suggestions of sin. And so, because he is shrewd, he looks for little openings where we might compromise our faith, and he can then open the floodgates to sin.
This is what he tried to do with Abraham; but Abraham replied that he wasn’t going to take even a thread of a sandal strap from the king of Sodom, because he knew that this would be the beginning of an alliance of corruption.
So beware, satan might be trying to infiltrate your life with:
Remember, satan only needs a little finger through a crack in your faith, to bring in the floodgate of sin.
