The faith to lose.

Faith to lose

Do you believe that everyone has faith?

Indeed, everyone does, however not everyone places their faith in the Lord Jesus.

It is human instinct to believe in something or someone, it has been instilled inside of us. Even an atheist has faith, here’s how!

When we order something online, for example, we are placing our faith in the product or service provider, not only that the parcel will arrive on time, but that the quality of the product will meet our expectations.

However, it’s faith in the promises of God that enables someone to experience the fulfilment of God’s greatness. In fact, the Bible makes it clear that even faith as small as a mustard seed, when exercised correctly, would produce extraordinary results (Matthew 17:20).

Consequently, many have been able to see God’s power in their family, finances, health and have shared wonderful testimonies. But what many don’t know, is that it is just as important to have the faith to lose and not only to conquer.

Meaning, when things don’t quite go the way you expected, you receive bad news, or the blessing you are after takes longer to arrive than you imagined, you must have the faith to continue serving God.

The reality is that we won’t always get what we pray for or it may not happen within the time we want, but we must keep our eyes on the most important thing we can conquer and the ultimate goal for every Christian – Salvation.

Essentially, the faith to lose is to remain in the presence of God, even if you don’t always win. The Bible says in the book of Galatians:

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” (Galatians 6:9 NKJV)

In difficult moments, the tendency is to get tired of praying, fasting, reading your Bible or even coming to church. Numerous Christians have lost their communion with God because they threw in the towel amidst a difficulty.

As a consequence, they also gave up the peace, joy and certainty that the Holy Spirit places inside a person.

If you don’t want to make this same mistake, you must remember that it’s in these moments that faith must come into play!
