The Blessing of the Lord’s Prayer

The Blessing of the Lord’s Prayer

Has your family suffered from separations, fights, negative habits, and/or unemployment? Have you been unable to meet their physical needs due to a lack of “daily bread”? Have your emotional needs been neglected due to a lack of love, peace, and attention?

Even if you may be facing a seemingly unresolved problem within your family, you can be a witness to God’s miracle in your life if you use your faith. How?

Bread and water are bare essentials for every household. However, from a biblical point of view, the bread represents the Word of God, which sustains our relationship with God, “…Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4). Water, on the other hand, represents the Holy Spirit, who is the source of life and who quenches the thirst of our soul: “…but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 4:14)

In the Bible, there is a promise related to the blessing of these elements (bread and water): “So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.” (Exodus 23:25)

Based on the promise above, we invite you to participate in the Sunday morning service at 10am (also at 7.30am). From Sunday, 7th August until Sunday, 18th September you are invited to bring along a loaf of bread and a bottle of water to the service where you will ask, in prayer and faith for the physical and spiritual needs for you and your family.

How can a simple act of blessing a loaf of bread and water bring about a transformation in your family?

No matter how simple an act of faith may be, it becomes a means to reach the miracle we long to see. The Lord Jesus Himself used simple means to work miracles: Jesus sent the blind man to wash in the pool of Siloam (John 9:6-7), and he was healed. Jesus’ miracles were simple because God blesses the faith of those who are humble and simple like a child.
