Large, medium or small, it doesn’t matter; it is subject to eternal damnation.
For the wages of sin is death. Romans 6.23
However, some sins are so subtle that the person doesn’t even notice. They are so closely attached to the heart, that they seem to be a part of it. Much like a characteristic of a religious person: a smile on the lips and venom in the heart.
One of them came to Jesus and asked:
Teacher, we know that You are true, and teach the way of God… (blah-blah-blah…)
What do you think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not? (sheer malice) Matthew 22.16-17
First, praise; then, venom. He wanted to condemn Jesus with His own answer.
Malice is the kind of sin that kills little by little.
As long as a person nurtures himself with evil intentions, he will never have God’s attention, nor will his life ever be unblocked.
Is it worth being faithful with your tithes, whilst harbouring malice in your heart?
Wouldn’t this be an attempt to please God and the devil?
Could this intentionally malicious person be visited by God?
This has been one of the greatest OBSTACLES in the lives of many religious people;
They see everything with bad eyes;
They see the pastor with malice;
They see the offerings with malice;
They see the assistants and other people with malice…
Here is some advice from Jesus:
The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness. Luke 11.34
