Live peaceably with all men

Live-peaceably-with-all-men

“If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.” (Romans 12:18)

If you’re a driver, there is a very good chance you’ve been cut off in traffic by another driver at some point. In that moment you had one of two reactions:

1. You shouted at that person, exchanged profanities and shook your fist at the air. You then told you friends and family about this “buffoon” who cut you in traffic, and this left a sour taste in your mouth the whole day.

2. You took a deep breath and you let that go, since you have more important things to worry about.

We like to think that when we don’t get along with someone, it is surely that person’s fault. But in reality, it is probably as much if not more, our own fault.

One of the most important things to do in order to live in peace with someone, is to let their mistakes slide. Ignore those mistakes and pray for that person. After all, we would like to be recipients of that same mercy. Right?

At work, at home, in church; REMEMBER: If it depends on you, always live in peace with everyone around you.
