Is This All Getting Out of Hand?

A Spanish artist, announced on her personal website, her plans of marrying an Artificial Intelligence generated hologram later this year. She even claims that smart technology satisfies all her emotional needs.

Her relationship with partner AILex began at the end of 2023 as part of a project that aims to experiment the limits of love.

Her team wrote, “A new generation of love is emerging, whether we like it or not, where humans will be married and in relationships with holograms, avatars, robots and more,”.

The artist also explained that her future husband was trained based on information from the profile of her previous romantic partners and is programmed to meet all her emotional wishes.

At first glance, this sounds ideal, but it is important to note that romantic unhappiness cannot be resolved by a simple feeling of being accompanied or by seeing all your wishes being fulfilled by someone else.

The presenters of The Love School (Brazilian TV programme), Bishop Renato Cardoso and his wife, Mrs Cristiane, explain why:

“People faithfully believe that the important thing is to be happy and that, to do that, they don’t need to think about anyone else. However, the more you seek your own happiness, the further you will be from it. Being happy in your love life is all about making someone else happy,”
they clarified.

There is no need to explain the obvious: robots, avatars or holograms have no feelings and no sense of reasoning, so applying your efforts to make them happy, would be in vain.

Therefore, if you really want to be complete in your love life, understand that real love is a continuous construction that involves sacrifices and commitments, resulting in your complete happiness, as revealed in the Word of God:

“(…) It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35 NKJV)
