Friday the 13th: The fight against all curses

Friday 13 2

Friday the 13th is often associated with bad luck and superstitions. The origin of this belief is debated, as there are those who say that this popular tradition originated in the United States and others says that its emergence came from Europe, but, regardless of where it originated, the fear of the date is deeply rooted in many countries.

As a result, many are those who have trusted in objects or rituals to avoid “bad luck” on that day. Coarse salt, rue, horseshoes and four-leaf clovers are just a few objects that the most superstitious carry to “attract luck”.

But the question is: can anything bad really happen on Friday the 13th?

Friday the 13th is just like any other day. Whether it is considered “bad” or not depends on each person’s belief. And only a lack of trust in God can bring “unlucky” days into a person’s life, as He is sincere and faithful in His promises.

Therefore, trust in God is crucial, as He will not allow anything bad to happen to His children just because of a particular day on the calendar.

It’s not because a black cat crossed the street in front of you, or because you passed under a ladder that the day will bring you some kind of “bad luck”.

In fact, the problems many have faced with superstitions surrounding the date have to do with a lack of faith. For, where there is superstition, there is fear, and if there is fear, there is doubt and, consequently, lack of faith.

Hence the importance of being covered with God’s protection, so that evil does not have access to your life. And only through faith is it possible to undo and overcome any and all works of evil.
