Do you have any credit in your faith account?

We’ve all been there before, you approach the till to pay for some items you wish to purchase. But, when you attempt to pay, you discover that you don’t have any funds in your account.

This news which can sometimes come as a surprise, is not only disappointing or embarrassing but it can also relate to our faith.

There is a verse in the Bible that describes, that on the day of judgement many will be surprised that they are not saved for their lack of sincerity towards God (Matthew 7:23).

Although they were Christians for many years, were very involved in the activities of their church and perhaps even held a position, all of these things cannot guarantee one’s salvation.

What God is looking for is who we are and what our actions speak about what we have inside of us.

This was the main message of the Self Help meeting in Finsbury Park last Saturday where women gathered together in the Rainbow Theatre to invest in becoming stronger women.

Everyone present learnt that in order to remain in the presence of God and keep their salvation they have to analyse who they are on the inside.

It is not about what we say is there, but what is actually there because of the actions we produce,” said Mrs Helena who held the meeting.

It is essential to separate time to look at your actions as well as the thoughts and feelings that you may be harbouring inside of you that could be damaging your relationship with God. After this, it is important to seek for help if you recognise that something is wrong.

At the end of the meeting, the ladies were invited to pray at the front of the Altar to surrender what they were holding inside of them to God.

This meeting was a great opportunity to draw closer to God and consequently become a stronger woman. If you couldn’t be there but you want to attend the next one, follow us on the official Godllywood Instagram for updates about future events.
