Are you ready for the winter months

As we approach the cooler months, experts say that the UK should prepare for a big, early wave of the flu.

Many countries in the southern hemisphere just had their winter and experienced what is said to be the most rampant flu season for years.

Therefore, health experts are urging everyone to take the necessary precautions to avoid getting sick or spreading illness around.

There are multiple ways you can avoid getting sick, besides taking care of your general health by practising healthy habits such as drinking sufficient water, eating healthy, exercising and taking supplements.

During this season it is also advisable to avoid close contact with those who are sick, and if they live with you, you can try not to use the same rooms as them at the same time until they get better.

Ensuring you wash or sanitise your hands regularly is essential, to eliminate germs that could potentially enter your body.

A good time to lather up would be before, during and after preparing food, after using the bathroom and after you cough or sneeze.

Taking care of your body will not only impede you from catching an unwanted virus, but it’s also a way in which you can please God, for He says in His word:

“(…) Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (1 Corinthians 6:20 NKJV)

Do you want to learn more about what the Word of God says about your health? Visit your local Universal Church every Tuesday at 7:30pm for the Chain of Prayer dedicated to your health, “The Challenge of the Word,”.

In this service, we put the Word of God to the test and seek the promises He has left for you in His word to be fulfilled in your life.

If you or your family member is battling sickness, disease or pain, you will have the opportunity to present your problem to God.

It is important to note that the Universal Church does not claim to heal people, but believes that God can through the power of faith. So, you are invited to bring something that represents your problem to be presented to God in prayer.
