Religious involvement and spirituality are associated with better health outcomes

Chronic pain, sickness, and disease have always been around, yet when we are personally affected it feels individual and unique.

Maintaining faith in times of sickness is difficult, it is essential to strengthen our relationship with God. This will help us breakthrough and become stronger and more resilient.

Researchers at the non-profit American academic medical centre, Mayo Clinic, published an article saying that most studies conclude that religious involvement and spirituality are associated with better health outcomes, including greater longevity and coping skills during illness.

For the last six weeks, we have been inviting people to believe that God can do what, up until now, has not happened. We started on 7th June and until today, 19th July, we have had the special purpose of the “The 7 Dips in the Faith of Naaman” at the Rainbow Theatre and in all our Universal Churches.

We believe in the importance of faith and that God has the power to *heal you. That’s what happened to Naaman. The biblical account in 2nd Kings chapter 5 tells us that he was a powerful, wealthy and well-respected Syrian general. His prestigious reputation, could not help him beat the terrible disease leprosy, that was slowly consuming his body.

In this special purpose of faith, people received water from the river Jordan, to be used in conjunction with their faith in order to overcome any health issues.

Event: 7 Dips in the Faith of Naaman
Day and time: Tuesday 19th July at, 7.30pm (also at 7am, 10am & 3pm)
Location: At the Rainbow Theatre and all Universal Churches

* The UCKG HelpCentre’s spiritual advice is to be seen as a complement to the scientifically proven treatment you may be receiving. The UCKG HelpCentre does not claim to heal people but believes that God can through the power of faith.
