7 Fridays of Spiritual Purification

7 fridays news

Do you ever feel the need to hit the reset button on life? To start fresh and cleanse your life completely? That’s exactly what our new chain of prayer, Seven Fridays of Spiritual Purification, is all about.

Throughout the Bible, we see how God used everyday elements to perform extraordinary miracles —and water is one of them. Water by itself is nothing special. But when combined with faith and obedience, it becomes a powerful tool in God’s hands.

Let’s have a look at a few of these powerful moments:

  • Water flowing from the rock – When the Israelites were thirsty in the desert, God provided water from a rock through Moses. It was a miracle of provision in the most unlikely place.
  • Naaman and the Jordan River – A proud Syrian commander who humbled himself and dipped himself in the Jordan River as instructed by the prophet Elisha. As a result, he was completely healed of leprosy. It wasn’t the water itself, but the act of obedience and faith that brought healing.
  • The blind man in Jericho – Jesus healed a man born blind by instructing him to wash in the Pool of Siloam. When he did, he received his sight.
  • Water baptism – symbolises the washing away of sin and a new life with the Lord Jesus.

And then there’s salt. Jesus called His disciples the “salt of the earth” (Matthew 5:13). Why? Because salt does more than add flavour to food; it preserves, purifies, and enhances. That’s exactly what Jesus wanted His disciples to do—bring change to those who were suffering.

Think about it—food without salt is bland and lifeless. Similarly, a life without God’s presence can feel empty and directionless. But when God steps in, everything changes. Faith in God enhances life in ways we may never have imagined.

However, it’s not the water or the salt itself that brings change – it’s the power of God. These elements are just symbols. What truly transforms lives is putting God’s Word into practice.

So, which area of your life do you need to see a transformation in?

 • Love life – Are you facing disappointment, betrayal, or confusion in your relationships?

  • Spiritual life – Do you feel distant from God or feel weighed down by past mistakes?
  • Family – Is there constant conflict and tension in your home?
  • Finances – Are you struggling with debt or ongoing financial pressure?
  • Wellbeing – Do you long for peace of mind and better overall wellbeing?

If any of this resonates with you, maybe it’s time to be spiritually purified.

Starting Friday 13th June, we will begin our new Chain of Prayer ‘Seven Fridays of Spiritual Purification.’ It’s a journey of faith and renewal.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Bring a bottle of water with you each Friday.
  2. At the entrance, a small amount of salt will be added to your water and it will be consecrated through prayer.
  3. At home, you can use the water to symbolically wash yourself, anoint your house, or in any other area of your life that needs purification.

Each week is a step closer to the breakthrough you’ve been praying for. As you participate in these meetings in faith, bring your needs before God and believe that He can bring a renewal starting from the inside out.
