A lot of unexpected situations happened to many countries in the year 2020. And whilst many countries faced economic recession in 2020, China’s economy was estimated to have had a growth of 2% in 2020, according to the Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR). The fallback of the United States, can be compared to the fall of the Roman Empire according to professor Edward Watts, from the University of California in San Diego. Not to mention all the inner conflicts faced within the country in the past year.
Although the pandemic initially started in China, it has recovered quickly from the financial problems caused by Covid-19. However, things are not just changing for the United States and China, other countries are also having a change to their global ranking.
Thus being said, it seems to be clear that things are working together for a global future uniting world countries. On October 2019, the International Money Foundation (IMF) confirmed that it was the moment of a new “Bretton Woods”. Which is a reference to an agreement in 1944 that establish the US Dollar as currency used for international negotiations. The goal was to overcome the struggles faced in World War 2. We can see that world leaders are interested in changing the world that we have come to know.
From a Biblical perspective, in the Book of Revelation we see that in the end of times, in order for the way to be prepared for the antichrist to make his appearance in the world, we would need a new geopolitical process. He will need this power given to him from other leaders. The apostle John wrote, “Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.” (Revelation 13.1).
“This beast refers to the antichrist previously identified as the white horseman, in the opening of the first out of seven seals”, explains Bishop Renato Cardoso in the Book “The world will burn”. In chapter 17 of Revelation we then see that the 10 horns signify 10 “kings”; “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast.” (Revelation 17.12).
The puzzle pieces are all coming together for what our Lord Jesus has prophesied would happen; “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” If you have allowed Him into your life, then you can have the assurance of peace inside of you, whilst the world may be in chaos.
