The UCKG HelpCentre in Cardiff is now using a trio of online platforms and a telephone helpline so that it can continue to support its members and the wider community in Wales 24/7, during the firebreak lockdown.

Effective from 6pm on Friday 23 October for 16 days, services conducted by the local pastor in Cardiff or the Bishop in London, will be offered via Liberty Radio, YouTube and Zoom. These will be backed up with a 24/7 provision of Christian support, guidance and prayer open to all, that can be reached on its UK-wide telephone helpline, 020 7686 6000.

The schedule of public prayer services that will be available online for people in Wales, and which is designed to address key human needs at this difficult time, is as follows:

  • Monday – 7.30pm (Independence Project) via Zoom
  • Wednesday – 7.30pm (Spiritual Growth) via Liberty Radio
  • Thursday – 8pm (Love Therapy Seminar) via YouTube
  • Friday – 7.30pm (Spiritual Cleansing) via Zoom
  • Sunday – 10am (Empowerment) via Liberty Radio

The virtual meetings can be accessed by requesting the relevant links* for the three platforms. Meanwhile, the UCKG’s HelpCentres remain open as normal, for COVID-secure, socially distances services.

Bishop Alvaro Lima, the UCKG HelpCentre’s Bishop in Charge for the UK said:

“We are already looking forward to welcoming our Cardiff congregation and the community back into the HelpCentre on West Grove, off Newport Road once the lockdown is lifted.

“Hopefully the coronavirus situation will have improved noticeably by then but in the meantime, please rest assured that you are not forgotten. We are here to help anyone who turns to us online or by phone, with non-judgmental compassionate support.”
