The VDay of the Vow

VDAY 1

The value of a person’s word has been lost in today’s society. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to find someone who honours their word and keeps the promises they make.

As a result, we see that written contracts are a necessity for almost everything: employment, tenancy agreements, business services and more. These contracts serve as written proof that a promise has been made between two parties, in case someone breaks a term set within the agreement.

On the other hand, God values His word and today we have access to the plenitude of promises He has made throughout the Holy Scriptures.

The Bible speaks about God’s faithfulness throughout the Old and New Testament and it is clear that He is willing to fulfil His promises in the lives of those who have made a commitment with Him.

Many benefits come with making a vow with God, such as protection, provision and above all the salvation of our soul. Anyone who wishes to take this important decision must be ready to stick to it, just as God never goes back on what He promises.

On Saturday 27 May the Victory Youth Group will be holding their annual Victory Day event, where young people from across the UK will decide to make or renew their vow with God. There will be a live song and a drama performance, not forgetting a spoken word, real-life stories and a thought-provoking message.

The countdown to this great day is exhilarating and the members of the youth group (and their guests) eagerly prepare their outfits. The dress code is Royal, and it’s only right as this event is expected to be truly remarkable and a memorable milestone in the lives of its attendees.

The event will be held in the Rainbow Theatre in Finsbury Park and will commence at 3pm. If you or someone you know is between the ages of 14-25 and you are interested in attending this meeting, tickets can now be acquired at your local VYG branch. Please note that all under 18s will need parental consent to attend this event.
