UCKG HelpCentre now accepts donations via the Barclays Pingit app
Pingit is very simple and easy to use. You do not need to be a Barclays customer to use Pingit – all you need is a UK mobile number, and a UK bank account.
You can also add Gift Aid to your donation, ie. UCKG as a registered charity will receive an extra 25% on top of your donation, from the government – at no extra cost to you!
To get started, follow the simple instructions below:
- If you already have Barclays Pingit, simply open the app and enter your five-digit pin.
- Choose ‘Pay a business’ from the menu.
- Enter ‘UCKG’ in the search bar – as you begin to type, the charity will appear.
- Click on the grey eagle pay button, add a message in the reference box.
- Enter the amount that you want to donate and tap the review payment button.
- Select the ‘send a donation’ button to add Gift Aid to complete the process.
Alternatively you can scan the QR code above, using the Barclays Pingit in-app scanner by choosing ‘Scan a QR code’. This will load the UCKG’s details into your Barclays Pingit app. Then simply enter the amount of the donation, whether to add Gift Aid, and then press pay.

I’m a Barclays customer – how do I register?
To get started, download the app and follow the on-screen instructions.
We’ll send you a text message that contains a verification code. You’ll also need an account verification code, which you’ll find on your current account statement. If you’ve lost or forgotten your mobile verification code or account verification code, call us on 0333 200 1012* and we’ll send you a replacement.
The easiest way to complete the registration is using your PINsentry card reader. You can also complete the process at a Barclays cash machine, using Online Banking or Telephone Banking, if you’re registered, by providing your name, account number, sort code and mobile number.
Alternatively, if you’re coming into a Barclays branch just ask us for a Barclays Pingit activation code. After that, it’s just 2 more steps. Once you’re set up, you’ll only need one passcode to access the app.
Already registered for the Barclays Mobile Banking app? You can set up Barclays Pingit quickly and easily without having to go through all of the registration screens again.
If you decide to leave Barclays Pingit, there’s no hassle – you can do it easily from within the app
How do I register on my smartphone to use Barclays Pingit?
You need to download the Barclays Pingit app to send and receive payments. Visit Barclays.co.uk/pingit to get the app. You’ll need to have a UK current account and mobile number and to be aged 16 or over to use Barclays Pingit. If you are already registered for Barclays Mobile Banking, follow the simple on-screen instructions within the app to use your mobile banking log-in details for a faster Barclays Pingit registration.
Do I need to have downloaded the Barclays Pingit app to receive a payment?
No, you can register online at Barclays.co.uk/pingit without downloading the app. But if you want to use Barclays Pingit to send as well as receive money, you’ll need to download the app.
How do I register my non-Barclays current account with Pingit?
To register your non-Barclays current account, follow the simple onscreen instructions to verify your account by requesting a penny payment. We will make a deposit of £0.01 into that account. The payment will appear on your bank statement with a reference beginning with ‘pingit’ and ending with #.
Check your statement as you normally would (online, on your mobile, over the phone or in branch) to retrieve this reference and return to the registration process to enter it where prompted.
