Have you ever stopped to ask yourself whether what you do each day is actually moving you towards the financial or professional life you desire?
Many people have big dreams: a better career, financial stability, a thriving business or perhaps a sense of fulfilment. Yet those very same people often find themselves wondering, year after year: “Why am I still not where I want to be?”
The truth is usually quite simple. They spend more time wanting than doing.
Wanting a promotion, wanting savings, wanting a better lifestyle. Anyone can want something. But wanting alone never cleared a debt, built a business or earned a qualification. Progress comes from the part people try to avoid: daily discipline, consistent habits, and the willingness to make uncomfortable but necessary choices.
Too many behave like impatient children—tapping their feet, feeling frustrated, waiting for someone or something to magically fix everything. Some even hope a single prayer, a motivational message, or a lucky break will suddenly transform their lives. But deep down, we know life doesn’t work that way.
In Luke 9:23, Jesus says: “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” In other words: the opportunity is open to everyone. God’s blessings, protection and guidance are available to all, but there is a condition.
Something must change. There is a daily commitment involved and it’s exactly the same with your finances and your career.
You don’t move forward by doing only what feels easy or enjoyable. You grow by doing what’s necessary—even when it’s difficult, outside your comfort zone, or taking longer than expected.
So, ask yourself:
If your answer is “no” then today is the perfect time to start.
