The Lord’s Supper of the New Heart

asking for God, connected to God,

Supper of the New Heart
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.” (Ezekiel 36:26-27).

In the Bible verse above, God promised two things: that He will give a new heart in place of the old one and a new Spirit in place of the old spirit. But what is someone’s spirit? Have you noticed that some people have a negative spirit? There are people who take anything you say and turn it into a problem. Although they may not have a negative heart, they have a negative spirit. The same goes for people who gossip, are greedy or have a bad attitude in general. They also have a negative spirit.

On the other hand, when someone has a good spirit, they make you feel good next to them. They make you feel comfortable, at peace and confident because you know that they have a good heart and good intentions. This happens when someone has the Holy Spirit and is connected to God.

The New Heart

Our natural heart is dangerous, unpredictable and is ready to act negatively towards us. Therefore, God needs to give us a new heart (and even this new heart needs to be taken care of). For this to happen, a person must willingly surrender their old heart to God.

If you recognise that you have stumbled from time to time due to your heart or that you have been deceived by it and you don’t want to be enslaved anymore, we invite you to join us at the Rainbow Theatre (or at your local Universal Church) this Sunday, 13 February, at 10am (also at 7.30am).

You will receive a piece of paper symbolising a heart of stone, where you will write down your request asking for God to give you a new heart. You will place the “old heart” at the altar and, by faith, will receive a new one from God.
