We learn from the Word of God that without faith it is impossible to please God. We believe that through faith we can be healed from our ailments, conquer material blessings and reach places we never thought we could reach, regardless of our past or current situation. Through faith, we can change any situation, and everything becomes possible. We have witnessed this happening in the lives of many people who believe and follow the instructions that God has left us in His Word. They give great testimonies of the results they have achieved through faith. HOWEVER…

Faith should not be used for the conquest of material blessings. The same faith that unites, transforms and heals must also be used to conquer the greatest blessing of all: SALVATION. Everything that we conquer here on Earth will stay here after we die. Our material achievements will mean nothing after we take our last breath. That’s why we have to organise the priorities in life, and constantly remind ourselves that our soul is more important than anything else. When we forget this and focus on the material things we need to conquer, we also end up forgetting that Jesus could come at any time. Even though God wants us to conquer many things and show His power to the world through our lives, it is vital for us to keep a constant watch on our salvation. We have to remind ourselves daily of how vulnerable we are when it comes to our soul.

“Then He spoke a parable to them, saying: ‘The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. And he thought within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?’So he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. And I will say to my soul,‘Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease;eat, drink, and be merry.’But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’ ‘So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”(Luke 12:16–21)

The man in this parable had great possessions and great faith for conquering even more. But he neglected the most precious blessing and lost his salvation. And how many people do the same? They focus only on this life, not knowing that they can die at any time or that rapture may take place. Understand that the problem is not conquering possessions, but rather the neglect towards the things of God.

Through faith we are allowed to conquer material blessings and have a wonderful quality of life, HOWEVER, the salvation of your soul is more important than anything else. Once you have prioritised salvation and you know that you are saved and have the Spirit of God in you, only then should you use your faith for material blessings and conquer a life that God wants you to live here on Earth. This means that you should conquer the Kingdom of Heaven first, and all the other things will be added to you (read Matthew 6:33).

God wants us to have a balanced life, in which both spiritual and material things are being conquered through our faith in Him. But the only one who can give us this balance is the Holy Spirit. And in order to receive baptism in the Holy Spirit, we have to use our faith and live a life entirely surrendered to Him. If you prioritise other things and decide to enjoy life in a world that has nothing to offer, what will happen if you die? Will your soul be ready to be taken to God?
