Has the countdown begun?

Countdown

The world has been going through increasingly dark days. On one hand, experts point out the imminent risk of nuclear war, with the increase in conflict and nations embodying their arsenal of weapons.

On the other hand, intense natural phenomena have taken the lives of thousands of people. This year is already considered the hottest in the history of the planet and climate change has caused numerous problems.

The large volume of rains, cyclones and hurricanes are also devastating the world, causing floods and decimating cities. Not to mention earthquakes all over the planet.

In this scenario, it is noticeable that human beings have never been as vulnerable as today, after all, anything can happen at any moment. The Biblical prophecies are being fulfilled one by one, drawing attention to the nearness of the end of times and the return of the Lord Jesus.

In light of this situation, the search for Salvation is more than urgent. However, the closer we get, the further humanity seems to deviate from the faith.

It is true that many have not yet heard of the Lord Jesus, however, how many have already known Him, but at some point, allowed circumstances to distance them away from Him?

Gossip, misunderstanding, malice, bad eyes or discouragement are some of the many reasons why so many have already turned their backs on the Altar.

Many others have allowed their heart to carry them away and began to make mistakes such as adultery, fornication, lies, and today they are fallen. In the face of all this, God asks:

“What injustice have your fathers found in Me, that they have gone far from Me, have followed idols, and have become idolaters?” (Jeremiah 2:5 NKJV)

Although they have succumbed to their fleshly desires, they still remember when God occupied first place in their lives and the peace it once brought to them.

In fact, everyone who has had an experience with the Creator knows what it is like to be a child of the Almighty and, no matter how hard they try, they don’t fit into this world.

Many wish to return to when they were serving God, however, a factor that has been a great barrier between God and the “prodigal children” are feelings of shame and the fear of facing people, as they are afraid of being judged.

There are also those who have condemn themselves, believing that they will not be accepted.

Those who find themselves in this position should remember what is really at stake – Salvation. There are many signs that indicate that the world is ending, human beings have become so vulnerable that seeking shelter is a matter of urgency.

So, if you are far away from God, turn to Him while there is time.

There remains good news for the one who has fallen – regardless of their mistake, there is a way out.

For someone to return to the Lord Jesus, all they need is sincerity – to acknowledge their mistake, admit that it’s their fault and decide to turn away from it and never repeat it again.

When confessing sin to God, it is necessary that they do not blame person A, B or C but take full responsibility.
