A Different Way to Plan Your Year

Planning
We often like to think we’re in control of everything– our plans, our future, our outcomes. But the truth is, we’re not. Real authority belongs to the One who rules time and knows all things – God.

As you have stepped into a new year, it’s worth pausing to reflect on how you plan your life. Society constantly tells us, “Put yourself first.” Yet faith teaches us something very different: God first. When we place Him at the centre of our plans and decisions, life takes a whole new direction.

The most effective way to experience a truly different year is to live each day within God’s will. When He guides our daily choices, the results are no longer ordinary – they become extraordinary.

Planning isn’t the problem. There’s nothing wrong with setting goals or organising your life. The mistake is relying solely on your own strength and forgetting to submit those plans to God.

Getting more involved in your faith is essential, as it isn’t meant to be restricted to Sunday services alone. Some people genuinely want to do more but feel held back by work, studies or an overloaded schedule. Often, that’s a sign that something needs to change.

Others make little effort, assuming that attending once a week is sufficient. But being in church only on Sundays is like eating just once a week. You might survive, but you’ll be weak. In the same way, your spiritual life cannot thrive without consistency. Strength comes from daily communion with God.

Here’s how each day of the week is dedicated to strengthening a specific area of your life:

  • Sunday – Empowerment Meeting at 10am (also at 7:30am)
The first day of the week is set aside for God. A time to reflect on His Word, worship Him, and receive guidance to strengthen your faith.
  • Monday – Prosperity with God at 7:30pm (also at 7am, 10am and 3pm)
Focused on professional and financial life. Learn how to prosper with God, putting Him first in your decisions, work, and goals.
  • Tuesday – Health Day at 7:30pm (also at 7am, 10am and 3pm)
Prayers to promote good health and general well-being
  • Wednesday – School of Faith at 7:30pm (also at 7am, 10am and 3pm)
A moment to recharge spiritually through studying the Word of God, learning how to apply faith in everyday life and seeking salvation.
  • Thursday – Love Therapy at 8pm (Rainbow Theatre only)
For singles and couples who want to build strong, healthy relationships based on intelligent love and God’s principles.
  • Friday – Spiritual Cleansing at 7:30pm (also at 7am, 10am and 3pm)
Strong prayers for freedom and protection from negativity.
  • Saturday – Collective Fast at 7am (Impossible Cases)
A collective fast and prayer for situations that seem impossible. By faith, God makes what seems unattainable possible.

With this in mind, it’s worth remembering that time spent without God is simply wasted time. This year, make decisions that truly matter: choose to be baptised in water, receive the Holy Spirit (The Spirit of God dwelling within you), and serve others by getting involved in the church groups.

Faith is never meant to remain hidden. It grows when we help others, and when we take part in God’s work, our faith moves from words to action and becomes truly fruitful.

Make the decision to put God first every day. Living with Him at the centre is not a burden – it is the way to truly live, turning ordinary days into extraordinary ones.
