Did you know that Jesus gave a powerful promise to those who overcome? Overcome what? You may be asking.
Those who overcome live in this world but are not shaped by it. They are not perfect, but they refuse to give up. They choose to follow Christ even when it is difficult; even when the world is pulling in the opposite direction, they remain steadfast in faith to the very end.
And the promise? In Revelation 3:12, Jesus says: “He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God…” This is a guarantee of a place of honour, strength, and permanence in His presence.
A pillar stands firm, supporting and holding up the place it belongs to. It is not moved about or taken away — it remains. This is the assurance Jesus gives: a permanent place in His presence.
