Many people grew up hearing about God. Faith, in one way or another, was part of their upbringing – they saw their parents pray, attended religious services, or took part in spiritual traditions. Yet, despite believing in God, some feel as though their lives are standing still.
They pray, work hard, and ask God to bless them, but something always seems to block their path. No matter how much effort they put in, their progress is delayed, their goals remain distant, and their lives feel trapped behind an invisible barrier. It’s as if a great wall separates them from where they want to be, hindering their advancement in their careers and obstructing their plans from succeeding.
But just as the walls of Jericho fell through faith and obedience, as told in Joshua, chapter 6, the same can happen in your life. The people of Israel faced an impossible barrier, yet by following God’s instructions and crying out in faith, those walls came crashing down. In the same way, there are obstacles today that can only be overcome through a bold and sincere cry out to God.
That’s exactly what will take place this coming Monday, 3 November, in the Cry Out for the Walls to Fall Down — the fifth cry out in our 13-week purpose of faith. Whether you see yourself as a person of faith who resonates with the situations mentioned above, or even if faith feels distant from your reality, don’t miss this opportunity to bring your challenges and aspirations before God.
