Night of the Soul,
The miraculous Red Sea parting, the 10 commandments, a leader, a friend of God – these are just a few statements to mention, a few that reminds us of Moses in the Bible.
Below we will share 7 fascinating details about this hero of faith that you may not have known:
1. Pharaoh’s daughter paid Moses’ mother to nurse him after she rescued him from the Nile River (Exodus 2:8-9).
2. During the burning bush episode, Moses gave God five excuses as to why he couldn’t be Israel’s deliverer.
3. When Moses insisted he couldn’t be Israel’s spokesperson, God agreed to allow his older brother, Aaron to speak for him.
4. Moses was 80 years old when he led the children of Israel out of Egypt.
5. Moses was a songwriter. “The Song of Moses” (Deuteronomy 32:1-43).
6. Moses was extraordinarily humble (Number 12:3).
7. Moses lived to 120 years old.
