What to Do When Your World Turns Black and White

Sometimes life’s struggles can be so intense that it feels like the world has turned grey. All joy and excitement fade into the background, giving way to a heavy sense of weariness. When challenges accumulate – whether from external circumstances or from within – it can seem as though the brightness of life has been stolen.

Yet, even in these moments, it’s important to remember that no problem lasts forever and that hope is not lost. With faith, it’s possible to restore what has been missing, regaining joy, strength and purpose. When we allow God to work within us, the colours of life can return – brighter and stronger than before.

God promises to be close to the broken-hearted (Psalm 34:18) and to renew those who feel weary (Isaiah 40:29-31). Through faith, we can find the willpower to fight back, rise above difficulties and recover the joy of living in full colour.

That’s the very purpose of our event, Life in Colour, happening this Sunday, 21 September, 10am at the Universal Church. We will come together in prayer, asking for God’s intervention and believing in His transformative power.

If you’ve felt as though your world has lost its brightness, this is your invitation to join us! Step into an environment of faith, encouragement and support, and call upon God to bring back the colours that once made your life vibrant – because life was never meant to be lived in black and white.

Join us at your nearest Universal Church. If you feel like talking to someone right now, you don’t need to wait until Sunday. Call our 24-hour Helpline, where a dedicated spiritual adviser will be available:
