Do you agree that what is written down often carries far more weight than what is simply spoken? Think about a contract, for instance. No matter what was discussed beforehand, it’s the written agreement that ultimately counts. In a courtroom, the same principle applies, as documents frequently hold more authority than a verbal testimony.
This idea helps us reflect on something even more significant: what God Himself has left written for us in the Bible.
For Christians, the Bible is far more than a historical or religious book. It contains God’s Word, filled with guidance, teaching, and promises that apply to many different areas of our lives. Whatever situation a person might be facing — worry, uncertainty, family struggles, financial pressure, or questions about the future, the Scriptures contain words of encouragement and direction.
Because of this, turning to the Bible is not only about praying or presenting a request to God. It is also about bringing before Him the promises He has already declared. When someone refers to what is written in the Scriptures, they are relying on words that are unchanging and trustworthy.
With this in mind, ‘The Sunday of It Is Written’ will be held on 15th March in all Universal Churches across the UK. Everyone is encouraged to bring their Bible, find a promise that relates to the problem or challenge they are currently facing, and write it down on a piece of paper.
During the service, there will be a dedicated moment of prayer, where we will cry out for the fulfilment of God’s Word in our lives.
We warmly invite you to join us and experience the power of what is written.
Event: Sunday of It is Written Day and time: Sunday 15th March at 10am (also at 7:30am) Location:Your local Universal Church
