Everyone longs to see their dreams come true, but have you ever stopped to ask yourself whether your dreams actually match what God has planned for you?
Perhaps you’ve wondered, “What is God’s plan for my life?” Or maybe you’ve heard someone say with confidence, “This is part of God’s plan for me.” In challenging moments, loved ones may have reassured you by saying, “It’s all part of God’s purpose.”
Most of the time, when we think about “God’s plan”, our minds immediately turn to what we can see — our career, marriage, children, or financial success. But that’s a very limited view. It focuses only on the here and now, when God’s purpose goes far deeper.
In John 10:10, Jesus said: “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” What did He mean by that?
Many interpret this verse as a promise of wealth or success, but that’s not what Jesus was talking about. The abundance He spoke of is spiritual abundance.
It’s the peace, joy, and certainty that come from walking closely with God. It’s not about what you have, but who you become when you allow Him lead your life. This abundance flows from God Himself — the Source of true fulfilment.
The Bible teaches that God’s ultimate plan for everyone is the salvation of our souls. Beyond giving blessings or solving our immediate problems, His purpose is to make us His children. That’s why Jesus came into the world.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross is the greatest expression of God’s love for humanity. But to receive eternal life, we must fully believe in Him and surrender our lives — body, soul, and spirit.
In the Bible, Abraham’s life illustrates what it means to trust in God’s greater plan. God promised him countless descendants and many blessings, but Abraham had to learn to wait and believe, even when nothing seemed possible. His faith was not limited to what he could see, it rested on the greatest promise. This reminds us that while God can fulfil our earthly dreams, His main goal has always been eternal life with Him.
God’s plan is available to everyone, no matter your background or past. But there is one condition: you must be willing to surrender to God’s will.
