VDay: Chapter One

News

Have you ever paused and asked yourself, “What has the story of my life been so far?”

Has your journey been shaped by pain, poor decisions, emotional wounds, or the relentless need to be accepted by others? Perhaps you’ve felt like you’re living two lives — one at home, another among friends, constantly changing like a chameleon, trying to fit in yet losing sight of who you truly are.

Life, as we know it, isn’t always easy. Each day can feel like a battlefield—whether we’re fighting to be heard, striving to grow, or simply searching for peace of mind. There are days when, no matter how hard we try, it feels like nothing is working out. And in those moments, one question echoes loudly in our minds: ‘How can my life change?’

But what if it truly could?

What if you could turn the page and begin again — not in theory, but for real? Not just another short-lived resolution or a broken promise to do better but a genuine turning point. Speaking of fresh starts, the dress code reflects just that: fresh and ready for a new beginning.

If you’ve found yourself stuck in a loop of disappointment, heartache, and confusion or if you’ve spent far too long shaping yourself to meet others’ expectations. Then, this is your moment. A new story is waiting to be written.

On Saturday, 24th May, the Victory Youth Group (VYG) invites you to join hundreds of young people for their annual Victory Day event, held at our headquarters in Finsbury Park, London at 3pm.

Expect captivating live performances, powerful real-life stories, and a message that will challenge and inspire you. It’s more than a celebration – it’s a call to action.

Think of life as a book. Every day, every decision, every experience adds to your story. But we only ever read one page at a time. Only God, the ultimate Author, knows the full narrative, every twist and turn, every high and low, every victory still to come. He’s not writing a tragedy. He’s crafting a masterpiece.

But here’s the question: Will you let Him?

If you’re aged 14 to 25, consider this your personal invitation to break free from the past and start your chapter one.

Bring a friend, and make it a moment you’ll both remember. Tickets are just £7 and available now through your local VYG branch. (Please note: under 18s will require parental consent.)
