Unity That Moves Heaven and Earth

The Monday of agreement
We live in a world where people often struggle to find common ground. Disagreements are a constant reality, whether over political views, ideologies, or personal preferences. These differences are evident from social media—where individuals often face criticism for expressing their opinions—to global headlines, where governments clash over conflicting beliefs. This tension can even infiltrate family dynamics, affecting relationships between spouses, as well as between parents and children.

However, the Bible strongly emphasises the importance of unity and agreement. The Word of God reminds us that unity brings strength, as stated in Mark 3:25: “…If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.” God commands His blessing where there is unity among His people, as highlighted in Psalm 133:1–3.

Jesus takes this a step further by teaching that when two people agree with a shared purpose, their agreement holds significance not only on Earth but also in Heaven. This reinforces the authority of their requests to God.

In Matthew 18:18–19, He says: “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.”

When thoughts and intentions align towards a common goal and are lifted to Heaven, this spiritual unity strengthens faith, confirms the request, and establishes the answer.
