Ukraine’s Ongoing Crisis and How You Can Help

Ukraine Appeal
It has now been three years since the war between Russia and Ukraine began— a conflict that continues to devastate the lives of many. While the war may have faded from the forefront of mainstream media, for those directly affected, the suffering is far from over.

The humanitarian crisis within Ukraine remains severe. Numerous families have been uprooted from their homes, their lives disrupted by violence, displacement, and uncertainty. The effects of the war extend far beyond the battlefield, impacting access to necessities such as education, employment, healthcare, and food. As of 2025, over 12.7 million people inside Ukraine are in urgent need of humanitarian aid.

By October 2024, nearly 39,000 civilian casualties had been recorded, including more than 12,000 lives lost. These figures are not just statistics — they represent individuals, families, and communities whose lives have been changed forever.

In response to this ongoing crisis, we at the Universal Church have launched another collection this month to support those in desperate need. We are gathering non-perishable items, such as tinned food and pasta, which will be sent to Ukraine and distributed to areas where help is most urgently required.

If you would like to contribute, we kindly ask that you drop off donations at your nearest Universal Church. Your generosity can make a real difference in someone’s life.

As it is written, “…Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” (1 John 3:18)

Your support, no matter how small, can bring relief and hope to someone in need. Together, we can be a beacon of light in someone’s darkest moment.
