UK to Ban Botox Applications for Under-18s

Celebrities have already shown that this procedure can bring negative results.

For some time now, aesthetic procedures such as Botox to get rid of wrinkles and expression marks are no longer used only by older people. A growing number of young people are undergoing facial procedures to keep their youthful appearance, even in cases where this is not really necessary.

However, these procedures bring risks, and that’s why the UK set a law that requires people who want to apply Botox or other facial fillers, to verify their age. Under-18s are prohibited from going through these procedures. The law comes into effect from 1st October and the only exception will be injections for medical treatment for health issues such as chronic migraines, teeth grinding and jaw clenching.

Terrible results

Some celebrities did not hide the negative results of the aesthetic procedures that they went through. One of them is 37-year-old Khloe Kardashian who, during an episode of her show “Kocktails with Khloe” in 2016, admitted having a bad reaction to a facial filler procedure. “My face was paralysed, I couldn’t make any facial expressions. I had to reverse the process,” she said.

Last March Ambotox buha3 232x300 1erican blogger Whitney Buha also shared a negative experience. Botox was applied very close to her eye, which left her literally wide-eyed (as we can see in the photo).

“Many of you apply Botox and didn’t know it can happen. I didn’t know either,” she said in an Instagram video where she showed how her face was looking.

Accepting ageing

Each day youthful appearance becomes more valued, although ageing is something natural for human beings. For Brazilian writer Ester Bezerra, who is now 71, longevity is something that should be valued.

“It’s a privilege to be older, as it means having more experience. It means that you lived long and lived well. A mature person does not make as many mistakes as a young one. We think more, we reason more,” she says.

They say that sickness develops when you are old, but this sentiment couldn’t be further from the truth. The Tuesday meetings specifically aim to help those who have any type of sickness and want to be free. We believe you can live a life without sickness. The main service is at 7.30pm (also at 7am, 10am and 3pm).
