The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG) hosted a Men’s Health Event at its Finsbury Park centre on Saturday 15 November, bringing local communities together to raise awareness of prostate health and wider wellbeing issues as part of the international Movembercampaign.
The session, organised by the UCKG’s Patient Care Group (PCG), was also livestreamed to participating branches across the UK, enabling men in other cities to take part from their local centres.
The event created a safe, open environment for attendees to discuss key health concerns that often go undetected.
Close to 100 guests received free basic health checks and practical guidance from healthcare professionals, trained volunteers, and an external doctor. Light refreshments were provided throughout the afternoon.
The community-led initiative followed UCKG’s commitment to supporting both physical and spiritual wellbeing, with men and women welcomed on the day.
Bishop Allan Passos of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God said: “Men’s health can be a difficult topic to address, and many delay seeking help until issues become serious. This event helped break that silence by offering practical advice, open conversation, and a reminder that proactive care saves lives.”
Saturday’s event is part of UCKG’s wider Health Point programme, which aims to ease pressures on the NHS by offering free, accessible community health checks and information sessions throughout the year.
