Faith is a gift from God. It isn’t about religion, rituals, or simply going to church—it’s a deep certainty that comes from knowing God’s will. When God gives us faith, He also gives us the courage to do things we wouldn’t naturally dare to do.
This is why faith removes fear. It brings clarity about God’s will and fills us with boldness to act, even when everything seems unclear. As the apostle Paul explains in Philippians 2:12, God works in us both the desire (faith) and the power (courage) to fulfil His purpose.
However, not everyone understands this. Some attend church out of habit, thinking that blessings come from attendance alone. But what truly pleases God is when we exercise our faith—when we trust Him enough to take action according to His Word.
There is natural faith, but the faith that comes from God is supernatural. While natural faith might give us human certainty, the faith that comes from God gives us a deep, spiritual conviction that grows as we immerse ourselves in the Word of God.
Take Abraham, for example. He didn’t just believe; he lived by faith. That’s what made him blessed. God chose Abraham because of his character; he wouldn’t use the power of faith for personal gain but to obey God’s will completely. Through his obedience, Abraham received not only earthly blessings but also the promise of salvation that would extend to all who walk in the same faith.
Today, many people rely on their own understanding and assume they know it all. Yet, when faced with a problem beyond human ability, those who humble themselves and turn to God discover the true power of faith.
Faith is for the humble in spirit, like children who listen to their Father. It is the greatest treasure we can carry within us because it opens the door to salvation.
The good news is that this faith is available to everyone. You don’t need to earn it—it’s not for the deserving, but for the humble in heart.
If you want to grow in this kind of faith and experience the joy of salvation, join us for the Bible Study series “How to Become the Blessing Itself.”
Bishop Allan Passos, arriving in the UK from Africa, will lead this inspiring service and also give a special Word of faith exclusively at the Cathedral of Miracles, but it will also be held at a Universal Church near you.
