Some pains are invisible — wounds of the soul that time has not healed, silent sufferings that weigh heavily on the heart and seem impossible to resolve. Yet, in the light of God’s Word, there is a clear and living promise:
“Surely He took up our pain.” (Isaiah 53:4–5)
No pain is so great that God cannot take it away. Contrary to what many believe, whatever has caused inner suffering can be transformed when it is placed before the Lord.
For this reason, write down your pain on a piece of paper and come to present it to God. Lay before Him what has caused you suffering and seek the relief and healing you so greatly need. More than a symbolic gesture, this is an act of faith — one in which a person recognises their limitations and fully trusts in God’s power.
In this way, the long-awaited relief and healing cease to be merely a distant hope and begin to become reality. Faith allows this promise to be fulfilled in the lives of those who believe.
This Sunday, 8 February, we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper with the purpose “The Sunday of ‘Lord Take My Pain Away’”, at 10am (also at 7.30am), at the Cathedral of Miracles or at your local Universal Church.
This special moment invites all who are suffering — emotionally, spiritually or inwardly — to have an encounter with God and experience the peace that only He can give. Join us this special Sunday. To find your nearest Universal Church, visit uckg.org/uk-ireland-locations/.
