Many people today experience ongoing financial distress. Rising debts, the loss of a dream due to a failed business, unexpected and seemingly unfair job dismissals, disappointing investments and the daily challenge of making ends meet are just some of the struggles that can leave individuals feeling overwhelmed and hopeless.
Financial distress isn’t just about numbers; it brings a weight on one’s shoulders that remains unseen. It creates a fear of not being able to cope and the pain of watching everything go wrong. This often leads to silence, as many are afraid of letting those around them down, so they pretend that everything is fine while trying to find a way out.
This silent suffering affects more than just finances. It can impact self-confidence, relationships, and even physical and mental well-being. The sleepless nights and the tension that arises when the phone rings are signs that the struggle runs deeper than unpaid bills. It touches the soul and weakens the spirit.
In moments like these, the only way forward is to humble ourselves before the One who can do all things, asking for help and a way out. 1 Peter 5:6 says, “Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.”
As we see in the Bible verse above, God does not ignore a sincere cry out for help. When we turn to Him in true humility, He not only hears us but also responds. Many have found strength and a new beginning by doing just that. Now, it’s your turn.
On Monday, 4 August, you will have the opportunity to put this to the test. Join us for the Cry Out of Humiliation for the End of Financial Distress, at your nearest Universal Church, where we will determine by faith that this cycle of hardship will come to an end.
