Dr Young Hoon Kim from South Korea isn’t just clever — he’s officially recognised as the person with the highest IQ in the world, scoring an extraordinary 276, confirmed by both the Official World Record and the Memory World Championship.
Dr Kim is not only a scientist and a successful businessman, but also a devout Christian. In a post, he stated: “As the world’s highest IQ record holder, I affirm that the most intelligent book in the universe is the Bible — not just because I believe it, but because it withstands the highest standards of logic, evidence, and intellectual scrutiny.”
That’s a bold claim in today’s world, where reading the Bible is often dismissed as old-fashioned or irrelevant. But Dr Kim makes his case with conviction, describing the Bible as “a literary, philosophical, historical and prophetic masterpiece.”
He believes that true intelligence is more than just processing information, it’s about understanding truth, purpose, and eternity — then reading the Bible isn’t optional for anyone who truly wants to grow in wisdom. In his own words: “The Bible is the perfect, eternal, and definitive Word of God. It does not need to be updated. The world needs to catch up.”
Some people think faith and science are like oil and water — they just don’t mix. But Dr Kim’s perspective is a reminder that all knowledge ultimately comes from God, the Author of wisdom Himself.
The Bible is filled with examples of intelligence in action. The Gospel of Luke tells us that when Jesus was just 12 years old, He amazed the scholars in the temple with His understanding and answers (Luke 2:47).
In the Old Testament, Daniel and his friends stood out in Babylon for their wisdom, while remaining faithful to God (Daniel 1:20).
And of course, there’s King Solomon — remembered as the wisest man who ever lived. In Proverbs, Solomon explains that wisdom begins with reverence for God.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (Proverbs 1:7)
Here’s the difference: people who read the Bible simply as a religious duty often become just that — religious. But God didn’t leave us a religion. He left us His Word.
If you genuinely want to grow wiser, make better decisions, and become stronger in every area of life, start spending time with the Bible. Think about it, reflect on it, and let it shape your thoughts and understanding. After all, if the man with the highest IQ in the world calls it the most intelligent Book in the Universe… it might be worth opening it for yourself.
