The Lord’s Supper of Renewal

asking God to be a part of your life,

Lord’s Supper of Renewal

The idea of having a new beginning sounds pleasant. It makes you think of something great happening that hadn’t happened before, or something that was going wrong being made right. Everyone can have a new beginning, but there is a specific way of beginning again that God has in mind for us. That is to live a new life with Him in the picture.

Many people live well, but without God. They do charitable works and treat others kindly, but the fact that God is not involved in their lives means that He can’t do what He wants to when it will matter the most – save their souls.

Jesus is the only One who can cleanse our sins and save us from a life of eternal death. That is why He said we should come to Him, because He is “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). He won’t force His way in; He’s waiting for the door to be opened to Him.

Everyone can have a renewal. That could mean being a good person and asking God to be a part of your life, or making a 180-degree turn and turning your back on a lifestyle that goes against God’s principles.

Even if you already have a covenant with God, you can renew your vows to remain faithful to Him with the Lord’s Supper. So this Wednesday, 23 September, we will have the Lord’s Supper, and you will have the opportunity to renew your relationship with God. Your past will be washed away and you will start a new life with Him.
